Fuel Storage Tanks

Created by Taltosvt for our Containment / Holding Facility Competition.

A late entry into the competition, these fuel storage tanks and shed are made from beer cans and discarded printer cartridges. The cans were roughed up, then base-coated with black, then copper. Weathering is a combination of brown, gray, and black washes. The piece measures 9"x14" and is roughly 4" tall, scaled for 28mm miniatures.

Texture for the concrete supports was created by sprinkling sand over glue, then painting. Rust on the first tank was created the same way.

Ground cover is sand and home-made flocking. The barrel next to the door is wire wrapped cylinder.
