New custom board for Super Dungeon / any square based game.

This is a new SDE board I made. I tried to stay true to the Chibi style. I am pretty much done but I am struggling with the final touches. Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

When in comes to dungeons, I am a big fan of ensconced torches.

If you have a hot glue gun, a quick way to make torches is to paint pins black, then put a drop of hot glue on the head and pull the pin so the drop stretches. Then paint as fire, stick in wall.

Another option is cotton swabs/Q-tips/baby buds. Normally these would be grossly out of scale, but in a chibi dungeon they'd work, especially in a kawai sconce. Just cut in half, tease and twist the cotton so as to resemble flame and smoke, then paint.

Since oversize works for chibi, some big skulls, gems, and/or coins littering the floor might work.

A few drop-in doors could be done. Fat planks, large grain, and oversize hardware would be cute.

Rats. Fat, round, chibi kawaii rats sculpted from balls of Fimo.

Markers. Do the games you play need health or food markers in-game? Giant chicken legs and hams are always funny.

Spider webs. Either painted on walls or actually modeled. One never sees enough spider webs in modular dungeons, chibi or otherwise.

I actually have some skulls that I found at Michaels. They were beads but ironically they are about the same size and ratio as the figures. I wanted torches but was at a loss on how to make them. I will have to try with the q-tip method.

Thanks for the input Smile

Sweet! If the hole in the skull bead is big enough, you could use them as sconces. That might be cool; skulls on the walls holding torches.
